PORTRAIT SESSIONS
My approach to portraiture is rooted in essence-exploration, somatics, embodiment, and the art of transformation. It’s connected to one of my core aims: to create soft spaces to be seen—not just for who someone is, but for who they are becoming.
Every session is uniquely shaped by who I’m working with; co-creating with. We don’t impose a vision—we attune to what’s already present. We spend time rooting into their world: their textures, rhythms; their inner state and how that’s reflected outside. Rather than constructing an image, we uncover it.
I work primarily with film photography for its capacity to slow us down, deepen awareness, and preserve a sense of mystery. Without the impulse to review or perfect each shot, we can relax into being—rather than performing.
Together, we hold an intention to notice the impulse to perform, and gently transmute it into something more real. We listen to the body. We track the nervous system. If there’s contraction, freeze, or hesitation, we pause. We put the camera down. These moments often hold the most truth—what arises there can be deeply revealing, even healing.
For me, this is about more than a capturing a portrait—it’s a practice of presence, intimacy, and revealing … being witnessed in this becoming, and doing so, seeing the beauty within our natural way.
As I travel around the world, I will occasionally be opening up space to host these private sessions on a first-come basis. If you are interested in co-creating together, please let me know where you are located so I can coordinate with you.
